For some individuals in Pakistan, Ahmed Rushdi started the beginnings of a 'Pop' scene in Pakistan. His passing on April 11, 1983 at 48 years old was an incredible misfortune in the records of Pakistani music.

Everything began in 1966 , when he collaborated with Waheed Murad and sang "Ko Korina" for the film "Armaan." It turned into the complete and characterizing Pakistani Pop melody.

Rushdi was a piece of the Golden Age of Pakistani film and came to be known as one of the most adaptable voices in South Asia.

Conceived in Hyderabad in 1934, he never got any proper preparing in traditional music he all things considered had a characteristic baritone, but at the same time was fit for arriving at tenor notes.

He sang his first melody in the Indian film "Ibrat" in 1951 and got acknowledgment. His family in the end moved to Pakistan and settled in Karachi in 1954, where he started taking an interest in theatrical presentations, music projects, and youngsters' projects on radio.

In 1954, he recorded his first non-film tune, "Bunder Road se Keemari", composed by Mehdi Zaheer for the well known Radio Pakistan show Bachchon Ki Duniya, the melody was a hit and turned into the steppingstone for Rushdi's future.

The achievement of "Bunder Road se Keemari", opened new entryways for Rushdi as he got offers for playback singing for films and immediately picked up notoriety. He loaned his voice to many hit films like "Bara Aadmi" (1956), "Wah Rey Zamaney" (1957), "Raat Ke Rahi" (1957), "Yeh Dunya" (1958) and some more.

In 1960 he sang the melody "Kisi Chaman Mei Raho Tum" for the film "Anchal" which ended up being an extraordinary aid for his profession, as he dazzled arranger Khalil Ahmed to the degree that Ahmed looked for Rushdi for each film from that point.

The '60s were a difficult however gainful period for Rushi as he alongside the incredible Mehdi Hassan and Masood Rana were the main playback vocalists of the time and rivalry was wild.

Unfortuantely he experienced medical problems during the last piece of his life and passed on of a coronary failure having recorded around 5,000 film melodies for 583 discharged movies.

In 2003, 20 years after his passing, Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf granted him the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the "star of greatness."

Introduction

Bollywood melodies, all the more formally known as Hindi film tunes or filmi songs, are tunes highlighted in Bollywood films.
In 80s, Pakistani local music companies (Sonic, Eagle, Million, Heera etc.) innovated in this music and called it Jhankar. This series lasted for 20 years. After all, all these companies were closed in 2003.
Because of jhankar songs available only in cassettes, We convert those cassettes or Master records in digital format. We created a channel on YouTube by the name of AM Jhankar for Hindi Filmi Tune Lovers.
